Based on the textbook Digital Radiography and PACS 3rd edition. Digital radiography and picture archival and communication systems (PACS) are becoming the common place for radiography and the future of radiography. There are many advantages to moving a radiology department to filmless system. This course contains information on the new developments of the latest digital imaging systems. It covers how the systems are integrated and networked so that all physicians involved in a patients care can access to the patients latest study. This cuts down on wait time for readings or having to come to the facility to view a patients study.

The course is broken up into five parts: introduction, basic principles, image acquisition and processing, PACS, and quality control and quality management. Anyone who works in a radiography facility will benefit from the information obtained in the course.

APPROVED FOR 9.5 Category A Credits, and accepted by Florida State  for Technical Hours . Meets the 4 hour Digital Radiography requirements in the State of California. Meets all other state requirements.

Please be aware, the ARRT is making some changes on how credit is distributed.  This courses will have some changes to the post test after 5/30/2023.  If you have not completed it by then please contact us for the updates.  The changes will be either some added or deleted test questions.  If this is confusing to you, we understand that.
